When our educated youth adopt Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors as their enterprising and agripreunership business ventures, we are assured that holistic development of such sectors are on right tracks but when doctors in literature enter such fields we get double assured that our farming will yield gold harvest. This we say because they adopt diversification of trade and innovate in their business hubs and one such champion farmer and entrepreneur is Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Malla CEO Azan Trading company of Tarigam, District Kulgam, UT of J&K Kashmir .
He is a leading exporter of Organic garlic. He exports approximately 200 MT,s of Garlic within the country to different states and union territories, he even exports a very good quantity of organic Garlic to USA and Canada.
This Innovative farming and diversification of activities is a good approach in achieving the concept of Holistic development of Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors by our own educated youth like Dr-Aejaz. He is providing employment avenues to local youth and give empowerment to local women folk who are in garlic farming.
Now HD plantation nursery development is under his sleeves and is providing plantation material with land laying facilities to outside farmers at various locations. Recently he had planted best HD varieties at Jharkhand,Bhutan and such farmers are appreciating the efforts of our innovative farmer from Kulgam for providing quality plants with plantation assistance
we sometimes chip in our marketing strategy to such enterprising youth of UT but basically they are eager to reign in innovative farming to get big results back home .. We are also thankful to Shri Sansar Ahmed ,Dy Director NHB UT of J&K and Mr.Mohammad Yaseen Malik Nursery officer Horticulture production Dept for helping such innovative farmers in nursery industry development program.
Today he plants at Bhutan, tomorrow he may wrap the rest of the country with his quality plantation having proper accreditation and quarantine procedures well in place.
Last time we recommended his name to District administration Kulgam for the award of innovative farmer and Dr Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat IAS was kind enough to honour him with the memento.

Rural business Hub

Rural business hub is an innovative marketing solution for the raw material available locally and the local public is involved in it . It works on the concept of 4 P,s, Public -Private -Panchayat Partnership.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has been implementing a Central Sector Scheme of Rural Business Hubs (RBHs) for promoting businesses using raw materials/skills available in the rural areas. The scheme works on a Public-Private-Panchayat-Partnership model and is applicable in all the BRGF districts and all the districts in the North-Eastern Region. Assistance under RBH Scheme is available for professional support services, training/skill development and for purchase of minor equipment. The proposals under the scheme are prepared and sent by the willing and interested Implementing Agencies and are required to be sent through the State Government or District level officials. There is no State-wise allocation of funds. No expenditure is incurred by the State Governments on the proposals submitted by the Implementing Agencies. The financial assistance is provided to the Implementing Agencies in two instalments keeping in view the viability of their projects and proper utilization of the funds released. The scheme was actually started long back in the year 2007-08.

RBH is a demand driven scheme and no targets are fixed for it. The guidelines for RBH Scheme was revised on 20 October, 2011.

Earlier the proposals needed to be recommended by the Panchayati Raj Department of the concerned States/UTs Government. This condition has been relaxed and recommendation of District Collectors or Chief Executive Officers of the Zilla Parishad of the concerned District is considered adequate.

Earlier the proposals of RBH were to be considered and approved by an Empowerment Committee headed by the Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. This has been discontinued. Now the proposals of RBH are initially examined by the RBH Division of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in consultation with the Integrated Finance Division and the final approval is obtained from the Divisional Head of RBH.

Rural business hub scheme is actually to increase rural economy in Agriculture Horticulture and allied sectors and UT of Jammu and Kashmir is now realising its importance during the year 2023 nearly 16 years after its initial launch..

It is better late than never.
