Meeting with MD mr.azhar MD Sahyadri Farms at Pune.

Value addition and proper marketing of Fruits, vegetables and allied Products is always a friction point in the minds of our farmers,FPO/FPC members,SHG,s and Entrepreneurs but the moment we have innovative platforms and innovative marketeers around the sailing goes well without jerks.
I have always found Sahyadri farms a platform which secures the interests of small and marginal farmers and update them on daily bases as how innovative farming can be achieved under the concept of FPO culture. I am always trying to connect my farmers and FPO leaders of UT of J&K with the success marketing story of Sahyadri.
On 28/01/2024 I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with the MD marketing Sahyadri Farms Mr Azhar Tambuwalla and discussed few marketing issues of Various farmers of UT to channelize their rich organic niech products.
While discussing marketing of processed Trout fish products, Organic lavender, Apple Pulp, walnut oil, Saffron with the MD Sahyadri at their Corporate office in Pune,Mr Azhar Tambuwalla was too nice to listen to our marketing issues and assured that FPO leaders of such products can be guided as how they can master the art of FPO culture and market their produce accordingly.
Marketing of Lavender oil, Apple Pulp,Saffron,Walnut oil , fish pickle, Smoked fish was deliberated in detail to explore possibilities as how we can help our farmers.
The discussion ended in positive mode and I was assured that to start with let us start with the by providing samples of lavender oil and Apple pulp to see how things can be made possible to help farmers of UT of J and K.
We are grateful to Mr. Vilas Sindhi CEO Mr. Azhar Tambuwalla,MD and others to facilitate farmers the innovative marketing and help them to avoid postharvest losses and achieve good returns under the culture of FPO. Power to farmers gets actualized under the Corporate and company law norms with FPO/Start-up culture in place.

On the auspicious occasion of republic day celebration,one more auspicious occasion to empower farmers of the country was organised at #Kharadi #Pune #Maharashtra on 26/01/2024 to carry on the mission of Shri Swami smarth forward. Swami Samarth weekly markets have a network of Direct marketing centres in the shape of weekly farmer markets along the length and breadth of Mumbai and Pune to facilitate consumers to get cheap and fresh fruits and vegetables. It is attaining two objectives, one our farmers get direct benefits and other the consumers of metropolitan City who are busy always have a chance to fill their kitchens on weekends with fresh and cheap vegetables around theirs residential colonies.
This concept of marketing is my favorite field and I have been watching and documenting such innovative marketing from last 20 years with very good public and farmers response.
On 26/01/2024 I had the honours to share the stage and aupucious Coconut breaking ceremony at #Kharadi #Pune alongside the various dignitaries of local administration and renowned farmer leaders. This was the new market yard which was thrown open on the huge success of weekly markets and demand of local residents of adjoining areas.

I had my hands today on a innovative farmer, a thorough professional and a exporter of Horticulture, agriculture and allied sectors from #Tarigam Dr.Ajaz Ahmad CEO Azan trading company.
Previously we had good equation as a marketer and a entrepreneur , as I oftentimes used to give marketing tips to the entrepreneur either for marketing of Garlic, indicative export policies, quarantine guidelines or information about various Government schemes including that of National Horticulture board but today while landscaping my backyard orchard, I was impressed by his work ethics.
He was all day available with his workers at my home, guided them about tipping root techniques, planting guidelines to make it sure that proper fungicides for root sanitation and soil preparation is ensured .
I was amazed at his knowledge of nursery development and the techniques to ensure that whilst planting the baby plants, the thumb role for proper mixing of Organic manure and position of graft above ground was followed to allow proper growth.
I am highly impressed by his service and the Quality plant material which was used to shape my personal ornamental Apple orchard.
